Asiwaju Boerboels is a family based approach to the ownership and breeding of the magnificent South African Boerboels.
Our objective is to continually provide leadership to the art and practice of dog ownership cum breeding particularly in our Country Nigeria. Our dog ownership and breeding philosophies are encapsulated in the choice and adoption of our name – Asiwaju Boerboels.
Asiwaju is a Yoruba word that means leadership and to us leadership is defined as Responsibility, Discipline and Initiative
We chose the breed as it embodies all that we expect from our dogs particularly in an environment like ours. They are strong, confident and decently large breed dogs. They are reputed to be the only breed of dog in the world bred to guard and protect and above all to us, they have the most reliable reputation with children which makes them the best candidate for our family approach to dog ownership.
We are most delighted to welcome you to our world with our South African Boerboels.
We are totally in love with this breed and believe in them incontrovertibly to such an extent that we believe that they are the best breed in the world to us. Therefore, our only objective with this breed is to enjoy their world to the fullest and share them with as many people as possible particularly in Nigeria through our breeding programme that is aimed at producing continuously improving ambassadors of the breed.
If you will like to share in this passion and journey, please contact us.
In achieving this, we hope to use very vigorously both the principles of selection and culling and as such despite litter announcements, we may not be able to offer puppies as at when expected.
We will focus on producing healthy family companions who will not at any time shirk their responsibilities to protect their family members when required, and this programme rests on the tripod of Health, Temprament and Conformation Testings. And to cap it all, we will endeavour to go through very discriminative approach to placing our puppies and this means that an Asiwaju puppy will not necessarily go to the home filled with the highest naira.
